Open Day Tue 23rd - Wed 24th June 2026
Discover our intimate and nurturing private school in Leigh-on-Sea, offering exceptional education from nursery to primary.
Saint Pierre students are confident, happy and creative. Our unique nurturing environment combines with high academic expectations to mould students who are well rounded, inspired to learn and well prepared for the future.

Every morning the unique qualities of Saint Pierre School are reflected in the smiles of the children as they arrive. Ultimately, of course, that is what it is all about; if a child truly loves going to school then learning becomes exciting, effective and natural.

We are proud of our recent (2024) Full School Inspection Report which illustrates the high quality of the school. Some highlights include:
In March 2024 an "Independent Schools' Inspectorate" team carried out a full inspection at Saint Pierre. The resulting report is a powerful indicator of the excellence of all aspects of education at our school. The school passed the inspection with no follow up needed.
One of the highest in the local area, our results consistently reflect the strength of our teaching, our tailored preparation programme, and our commitment to each individual child. Year after year, pupils graduate to respected local Grammar Schools, well prepared not only to pass examinations, but to thrive beyond them.

As Head of Saint Pierre School, I am privileged to lead a community that means a great deal to me.
A school is so much more than just a place to learn; it is a feeling, a family, and a place of comfort and safety which embraces you the moment you walk through the door.
Saint Pierre is a school you need to see and feel rather than just read about.

At Saint Pierre School we aim to develop the potential in every child by creating lives of significance. We value the uniqueness of every child and believe that children should be encouraged to grow in confidence and develop skills that will enable them to offer service to others.
Our ethos doesn’t start and stop with the children, we also partner parents to ensure that the whole family see significant change for the better.
Our “Door to Door” Minibus service is designed to assist busy families by offering a safe and reliable method of conveying pupils to school.
Saint Pierre is committed to reducing the hassle and environmental impact of journeys to and from the school. We have our own drivers, and fully licensed vehicles following a strict maintenance policy.

We keep our fees reasonable by prioritising what’s most important: a nurturing environment, committed teachers, small class sizes, and a challenging curriculum – we’re able to offer exceptional education at an affordable cost.

As Head of Saint Pierre School, I feel incredibly fortunate to lead a community that is so special to me. Our school is about far more than education alone; it is a sense of belonging, a family, and a place where children feel happy, secure and valued from the moment they walk through our doors. Our children are genuinely happy and while I am immensely proud of their academic achievements, I am equally proud of the young people they are becoming. They are kind, considerate, resilient and curious, with a wonderful sense of adventure.
Saint Pierre is proud of our incredible 11+ results but the nurturing and safe environment we provide is just as important to the families who construct our school community. This atmosphere does not happen by accident. It is created through the dedication of our exceptional staff, who continually develop and enhance programmes that support positive mental health and wellbeing, inspire a lifelong love of learning and encourage every child to fulfil their individual potential.
I have a deep belief in what makes Saint Pierre special: the benefits of small classes, the importance of tradition, the value of good manners and the encouragement of children to think independently and creatively. For me, success is measured not only by examination results, but also by the smiles on our children’s faces as they arrive at school each morning. Above all, I want every pupil to look back on their time at Saint Pierre with a sense of belonging, pride, happiness and joyful memories.
Saint Pierre is a school that is best experienced rather than simply described. I warmly encourage you to come and visit us, meet our children and staff, and experience first-hand the happiness, warmth and unique character of our school. We would be delighted to welcome you to Saint Pierre.
