At Saint Pierre, extra-curricular activities play an important and wholly integral part of life. We encourage children to attend clubs with the aim of inspiring them to; inspire new areas of learning, learn and develop skills, become healthy and active, socialise-developing friendships across the school whilst sharing common interests.
Breakfast Club allows children to arrive from 8:00am. Whilst the majority of clubs run Monday- Friday from 3.30-4.30pm, with Tea-Time until 5pm.
We offer a selection of extra-curricular activities for children to attend. These are altered termly, allowing us to introduce clubs that children are interested in and want to take part in.
Examples of clubs include;
- Science Exploration
- Set Design
- 11+
- Baking
- Homework club
- Football
- Movie club
- Chess
- Board games
- Cross-country
- Netball
- Gardening, to name a few
There is also choir which is held during lunch time. We do offer some one-off ‘specials’ which in the past have included; crazy golf, Ten-pin Bowling and Movie club.
Enrichment activities
Enrichment is something that all pupils can benefit from and helps to make subjects more meaningful, memorable and rewarding. The enrichment activities we provide at Saint Pierre allow children to explore subjects in greater depth and use their imagination in ways that they may not be able to do in traditional lessons.
Some example of the enrichment activities that will take place this academic year are
- Floristry
- Horse-riding
- Majorettes
- Diversity dance
