Saint Pierre has a commitment to PE as part of our curriculum. We are also part of The Independent School Association which means we regularly participate in multiple sporting events such as The Annual Cross Country, Regional Football Tournaments, Tag Rugby and Swimming Galas. We believe this gives children not only the passion to develop their sporting ability but also the confidence in competing and pushing themselves to strive forward.
At Saint Pierre, we take part in as many ISA Competitions as we can, with many children making it to Nationals for cross country. We were very proud of two of our students who both took part in the Athletics event, running the 150 metres sprint and shotput at the Regional ISA Athletics event at the Melbourne Stadium.
They both then qualified to the Nationals at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham and came 5th in country.

We have recently started to work with our local David Lloyd’s. The children enjoyed a tennis lesson with 2 of the instructors who helped to make the lesson both fun and educational. Having David Lloyd so close to the school has proven to be a great opportunity for future PE lessons and we look forward to working closely with them.
From the earliest possible stage, our PE curriculum encourages every child to fulfil their sporting potential, while providing the perfect foundation to continue their development once their time at Saint Pierre School comes to an end and they progress to secondary education and beyond. Two of our former pupils Ted Kern and Jamie Norris have even gone on to represent Essex in U20’s rugby – here they are celebrating a resounding 40-10 victory over Middlesex in February 2026!

As well as taking part in the ISA calendar of events we offer a range of extra-curricular sporting and games clubs for after school activity. Our after school clubs for sport has been as follows:
- Football
- Tag Rubgy
- Golf
- Netball
- Karate
- Cricket
- Dodgeball
- Dance
- Gymnastics
- Swimming
